Pygora = Pygmy + Angora
Pygoras were first bred in Clackamas County, OR in the 1980's.
The resulting Pygora Breeders Association (P.B.A.) created a set of standards, a registry, and sanctioned shows for this unique, lovable animal.
Today, raising Pygora Goats for Fun, Fleece and Awards is a popular and rapidly growing animal breeding program.
